On saturday, on the birthday of prime minister Narendra Modi, a special gift was given by the public. people participated fiercely in the blood donation campaign started on PM's birthday and made a world record. According to the Ministry of health, more than one lakh people have donated blood in this one day. This in itself is a world record. Earlier in the year 2014, 87,059 people donated blood in a single day. Union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya also gave information on this by tweeting and wrote – one lakh cross.

Earlier on september 6, 2014, 87,059 participants had set a record by participating in blood donation. This program was organized by akhil Bharatiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad and for this 556 blood donation camps were organized in three hundred cities of India.
Mandaviya himself had donated blood at a camp at Delhi's Safdarjung Hospital and urged people to register on the Aarogya Setu app or e-Raktkosh portal to donate blood on the 'Raktadan Amrit Mahotsav'.What is Rakt Nectar Festival?This campaign started on the birthday of PM Modi i.e. on 17th September. This program has been organized by the Union health Ministry. This will last for 15 days. people willing to donate blood can register on the blood bank portal.
