Remakes and sequels have been popular in recent years. Every other big-budget, pan-India film is expected to include two sections. Sequels will be made if a film has been a major box office success and has the potential to be extended further. Salaar, Prabhas' film, is rumoured to feature two parts even before its release. Following the release of kgf 2, director Prashanth will begin filming Salaar alongside prabhas in the month of May.
The crew has already finished shooting 30 percent of the movie, and the rest will be finished by the end of the year. The picture is set to hit theatres in the summer of 2023. There have been rumours of a Salaar sequel for the past few months. When asked about it, prashant stated that he is unsure at the time. "At this time, Salaar is not something we are planning as Part 1 and 2," he stated. The director stated that he would not do anything to dilute the story or create an imbalance in the plot for the sake of making more money.
The filmmaker also stated that if he believes the plot justifies a sequel, he will make an announcement immediately soon. "I haven't given it much thought." I'll talk to prabhas sir about it, and if he's cool with it, we'll go ahead and do it. "We haven't talked about Salaar 2 for a single day," he clarifies. In Salaar, prabhas would portray a never-before-seen mobster. shruti haasan plays the female lead in the film.
