Prison Rules changed after 53 Years - New Uniform?
The puducherry prison rules have been modified after 53 years to allow equal pay and promotion to police officers. In addition, the convicts' diet and clothing have been altered. The Puduvai jail rules were developed in 1969, according to IG Ravideep Singh Sagar of the Puduvai Prisons Department. The federal government passed a model law in 2016. It permitted states to make changes to their policies as a result. After 53 years, we have updated these guidelines. The governor has provided authorization for the government to issue the order.
People who were sentenced to life in prison were released after 14 years and are now on probation for another ten years. This isn't true in every situation. Those who have been convicted of crimes involving the disease will not be freed. There has been a wage and advancement disparity between prison officers, guards, and cops for more than half a century. The jail staff's working hours have been modified to 8 hours and three shifts have been established.
So far, the inmates have been provided with drawers. Pants are no longer provided. Currently, inmates are provided athletic training. We'll make arrangements for the top to compete in national tournaments. In the mornings, the inmates were offered wheat dosa in Puduvai and porridge in Karaikal. In the morning, Idli, Uppuma, and pongal will take their place. On Wednesday, eggs will be provided, and on Sunday, chicken. Rice, engineering, and sambar will be served in the afternoon. After spending 6 months, foreign inmates will be transported to their home country's prison. Animal husbandry and agricultural pursuits will form a part of the prisoner's daily routine. There will be self-employment training available. After their release, loans will be arranged to help them start their business.
