Elections 2022: Covid safe elections in Five states..?
As the corona spread in india is on the rise again, 5 state assembly elections are expected to be held as planned. In turn, the Union home Ministry has ordered parliamentarians to go to the concerned states for security operations. The assembly terms of five states - Uttar Pradesh, punjab, Manipur, uttarakhand, and goa - will end in May. All parties in the five states have already begun campaigning. Crowds have begun to gather at public meetings. health experts have recommended the postponement of five state assembly elections following the rise in the spread of the omicron infection.
The reports said that the chances of postponing elections are very less. The election commission is preparing to complete the election as planned. The Chief Electoral Officer is actively working to hold assembly elections in all 5 states following the Corona Prevention Rules.
After meeting with the health officials today, the election commission of india today had announced the schedule and the dates for the upcoming assembly elections in the five states namely goa, punjab, Manipur, uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh. Out of these states, the top power in the 4 states is by bjp including goa, Manipur, uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh.
Around 690 election constituencies will be going to the polls.
