Lakshya 2021 Movie Review - A Template Sports Drama

SIBY JEYYA
Naga Shaurya's current film, Lakshya, was released less than forty-five days after his previous release. Unfortunately for him, his prior attempt failed miserably. He's aiming to make a comeback with Lakshya, which is set to enter theatres on december 10th. The main distinction between naga Shaurya's previous film Varudu Kavalenu and Lakshya is that the latter is a mass-market release.

Yes, it's a sports movie, but it's done in a big way. 'Archery' is a game with a lot of potential for new aesthetics. naga Shaurya's six-pack abs are already the buzz of the town. Lakshya is directed by Santhosh Jagarlapudi. Subrahmaniapuram, a psychological thriller with devotional themes, was his previous film. He's now trying his hand at a more marketable genre in the hopes of making money at the box office.

The film began with a Pardhu flashback episode ( naga Shaurya ). Pardhu (the child) is undergoing archery training. Pardhu enrolls in the well-known Kurukhetra Archery Academy in order to break his dream world record. Pardhu's aim to become a great Archery player is supported by Raghuramaiah (Sachin Khedekar). Pardhu's girl buddy, Rithika (Ketika Sharma), has been introduced. Pardhu will compete in his first state championship. Pardhu's life and goal are thrown off by an unforeseen event.

After the intermission, Jagapathi Babu returns to the concert to try to get Pardhu back on track. naga shourya reveals his six-pack abs by removing his shirt. He looks great, but the tale doesn't necessitate it. india advances to the quarterfinals thanks to Pardhu. The film was now approaching its conclusion. The World Archery championship was won by India.

Lakshya has a refreshing archery backdrop, and the story stays true to the sport without straying too far into commercial territory. On the other hand, the actual sporting events are uninteresting, and the characters who populate the universe make the whole thing seem mundane and uninteresting. The second half bears the key to enhancing the proceedings, but it never keeps the audience engaged with a formulaic template. For a sports film, Lakshya offers a unique setting.

However, the thrills end there, and what we're left with is a drab film filled with boring sports sequences and predictable drama.
