IPL 2021 to be Stopped as several Players walk out of the tournament?

The Second Wave of Corona has hit everyone hard and the entire Nation has come to a stand-still right now. Each day the number of positive cases are growing to new heights. In this case, IPL 2021 takes place indoors without any audience. However, now things look bleak as many cricket players are walking out of the tournament already. delhi Capitals won in Super Over against Sunrisers hyderabad yesterday.


However, Ravichandran Ashwin who is the premium off-spinner confirmed that it would be the last match he plays in IPL 2021 as he wanted to be with his family and extended family during this crisis situation. He tweeted, "I would be taking a break from this years IPL from tomorrow. My family and extended family are putting up a fight against #COVID19 and I want to support them during these tough times. I expect to return to play if things go in the right direction. Thank you @DelhiCapitals."


Similarly, Andrew Tye from rajasthan Royals also has left india due to the ongoing crisis situation. Already, rajasthan Royals have missed the services of sevreal overseas players. Now the team is left with only four foreign players Mustafizur, Jos Butler, David Miller and chris Morris. Australian Wicket-Keeper batsman Gilchrist also shared his woes regarding the ongoing IPL when the entire Nation is facing such a crisis situation. There are several speculations that IPL 2021 might be called off just like PSL was called off earlier.
