Taking a
home loan has become a major habit among
people over the past few years. Many
people think that living in their own
house by taking a loan is more satisfying than living in a rented house. In this situation, in the last few years,
women have come forward to take
home loans in large numbers, according to a special report. A report released by
sbi has said that
women will account for the largest share of
home loans in rural areas in the first quarter of 2022.
In particular, the report stated that 45 percent of
home loans were taken by
women in 20 districts of Gujarat,
haryana, and Chhattisgarh.

According to the report, the total housing loan has grown by more than 10 percent this year, and
people in Tier 2, Tier 3, and Tier 4 districts have taken more housing loans than Tier 1 districts after the pandemic. The share of housing loans in total
bank credit has increased from 13.1 percent in
2020 to 14.4 percent in 2022.
It is also worth noting that housing prices have increased significantly in smaller cities than in larger cities. In particular,
house prices increased by 13% in Visakhapatnam, 15.7% in Guwahati, 19.1% in Raipur, 11.2% in Surat, and 12.6% in Vadodara, 9.6% in Jaipur, and 17.7% in Coimbatore, the report said.
SVAMITVA scheme is also one of the reasons for the increasing demand for
home loans in rural districts. According to the report,
home loan disbursement is increasing rapidly in more districts in
haryana and Uttar Pradesh, where the scheme already covers several villages.
