Tesla's Elon Musk has recently announced that it will not set up production in india unless the government of india allows cars to be sold and serviced in India. A senior tesla executive in india has resigned in protest of the announcement. To establish tesla in india, Manuj Khurana was hired. He has been involved in several initiatives to sell American carmaker tesla car products in india and to manufacture and sell electric cars.
Following Tesla's Elon Musk's announcement, Manuj Khurana has reportedly resigned since Elon he would abruptly reconsider his decision to set up a factory in India. Manuj Khurana has been in talks with the indian government for more than a year to reduce the import duty on electric cars from 100 percent to 40 percent.
But prime minister Narendra Modi's government of india insisted that the company should ensure that it makes cars in india before making any concessions to Tesla. Amid ongoing negotiations, tesla abruptly halted car sales in India.
The search for a showroom location in india has been abandoned.Following this, it has been reported that Manuj Khurana has resigned from his post in protest of Tesla's decision.
 In a statement, tesla said that the email address sent to Manuj Khurana will no longer be valid and no email will be received from his email ID in the future.
However, tesla is now focusing on countries like indonesia giving them best opportunities and facilities, and plans to enter a few countries soon, including Thailand.
