Lenovo showcased the world's first transparent laptop at the mobile World congress 2024. Lenovo ThinkBook Transparent Display is a device that comes with a massive 17.3-inch bezel-less see-through (55 percent transparency) display. The device uses a micro-LED screen with 720p resolution and features a transparent keyboard area. It also offers a floating footpad design.

Lenovo didn't just stop there but it also integrated Artificial Intelligence Generated Content (AIGC) technology in the laptop with which users can interact with real-world objects. It is important to mention that this is a proof of concept and it won’t be available for purchase anytime soon.

Lenovo has not revealed anything related to the hardware specifications of this machine as of now.

Both the display and keyboard are transparent. The keyboard laser projects keys when required, and it also doubles as a sketchpad with stylus support. There is one downside to this though. Since many people are used to getting tactile feedback from the keys, they will miss that on this keyboard. It will feel as if you are trying on a flat surdata-face.

Lenovo has confirmed that the display panel on the ThinkBook Transparent Display has been made out of microLED technology. This enables higher color saturation with up to 1000 nits of peak brightness. Due to the presence of this, the screen of the laptop will be optimized for both indoor and outdoor usage.
