Apple watch Series 9 & Ultra 2 Units Affected By 'Ghost Touch' Issue, Some Units 'Jumping Erratically':

Apple is said to be aware of the issue and the brand is likely 'investigating' the same.

Apple watch Series 9

The apple watch Series 9 and Ultra 2 are the latest smartwatches from the brand which are available to the customers at the moment. They were launched alongside the iphone 15 series back in september last year. The smartwatches were received well by the people, however, lately, there have been some complaints from the users. A few users have voiced their concerns about a potential 'ghost touch' issue which is affecting some of the watches of Series 9 and Ultra 2.

According to a report, apple is said to be aware of the issue and the brand is likely 'investigating' the same, as shared in a memo observed by apple Authorized service Providers. MacRumors quoted apple as saying in the alleged memo, “Some customers may report their apple watch Series 9 or apple watch Ultra 2 is experiencing false touches on their display.”

These touches are reportedly being called “ghost” touches by the users.

Additional Issues

The MacRumors report further stated that users have also complained that their apple Watches were 'jumping erratically' and they were performing oddly, without the involvement of any user input at all. This may even extend to the apple watch auto-dealing contacts and troubling users to add the device passcode to unlock it.

The report added that apple recommends keeping the software up to date, and it suggests that the issue may be resolved through a forthcoming WatchOS update. As of now, it is unclear how soon can the affected users expect an update that would solve this issue. It is tough to identify the spread of this issue, however, apple has allegedly asked repair partners not to address these issues until it completes its investigation.
