To benefit the people of india, the unique identification authority of india (UIDAI) has announced that people can update their Aadhaar documents online for free. In part, the uidai also announced that Aadhaar cardholders will be able to avail Aadhaar document update facility free of charge for the next three months through the 'myAadhaar' portal.
Officials said that this offer of free update of Aadhaar details will be available from march 15, 2023, to june 14, 2023, i.e. for the next three months. The service is available free of cost only on the 'myAadhaar' portal, while the regular fee of Rs 50 will be charged if you go to the nearest Aadhaar service center for renewal, the nodal agency looking after Aadhaar administration has informed. Can be changed within months. You can also visit the nearest Aadhaar service centers for updating, uidai said.
To update their Aadhaar card details digitally, users can visit https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/ using their Aadhaar number. An OTP (one-time password) will be shared with your mobile number registered there through which you can enter and change the details to be changed. The changed details will be updated on the specified day.
Then the updated Aadhaar card will reach your home address within 7 to 10 days. You have to update your Aadhaar details once every 10 years. Recently many scams are going on with the Aadhaar number. To combat these scams, the Modi government has urged users to update their Aadhaar card details every 10 years, according to a new notification by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
According to the november 9, 2022 notification, "Aadhaar number holders can renew their Aadhaar documents in Aadhaar by submitting Proof of Identity (POI) at least once every 10 years from the date of Aadhaar enrollment.
Proof of Address (POA) specified under the Aadhaar Enrollment and Renewal Regulation Act 10 Documents are said to be updated periodically to ensure the accuracy of their information in the Central Identity Data Repository (CIDR).
