“We Will Fight Against the BJP Government That Betrays Farmers,” Says Chief Minister M.K. Stalin

Kokila Chokkanathan
Tamil Nadu chief minister M.K. Stalin strongly criticized the BJP-led Central Government, accusing it of betraying farmers and neglecting their welfare. Speaking at a public or party event, the chief minister declared that his government and party would continue to fight against policies that harm the farming community.

Allegations of Anti-Farmer Policies

Stalin alleged that several decisions taken by the bjp government have adversely affected farmers across the country, including those in tamil Nadu. He stated that issues such as rising input costs, inadequate minimum support prices (MSP), delayed compensation, and reduced subsidies have pushed farmers into distress.

According to the chief minister, instead of providing relief, the central government has introduced policies that favour corporate interests at the expense of small and marginal farmers.

Commitment to Protect Farmers’ Rights

Reaffirming the DMK government’s stand, stalin said that the tamil Nadu government has consistently implemented farmer-friendly schemes, including:

  • Financial assistance to farmers
  • Crop insurance support
  • Free electricity for agriculture
  • Compensation for crop loss due to natural calamities
He emphadata-sized that the state government would not remain silent when farmers’ rights and livelihoods are threatened.

Call for Unity and Protest

The chief minister called upon farmers, agricultural workers, and democratic forces to unite and resist anti-farmer policies. He said peaceful protests and democratic struggles are necessary to ensure that farmers’ voices are heard at the national level.

Conclusion

Concluding his address, M.K. stalin said that farmers are the backbone of the nation, and any government that ignores their struggles must be held accountable. He asserted that the DMK will continue its fight to protect farmers, agriculture, and rural livelihoods, standing firmly against what he termed the bjp government’s anti-farmer approach.
