With the number of
people using Brandband
service through satellites increasing day by day in the world, Elon Musk's SpaceX (Starlink) which tried to introduce such
service in
india and failed, is going to try for the second time. As
5g service in
india is about to make a big change in telecom
services, Brandband Important changes are coming to the
service as well. Especially in the development of brandband
services, the
government company
bsnl is going to play an important role.
In this situation, Elon Musk's SpaceX has entered the field to compete with
airtel and
reliance jio in the 2nd attempt. It has been reported that SpaceX has obtained a GMPCS license from the Ministry of Telecom and has entered the field for the 2nd time in an attempt to provide broadband
services through satellite in India. Already Airtel-invested OneWeb and
reliance jio are offering a similar service. SpaceX is about to apply to introduce Starlink
service as the 3rd company that has a license to provide it.
If SpaceX is to offer its Starlink
service in
india, it will first have to set up earth stations and then install satellites in
indian skies. The
indian National Space Promotion & Authorization Center (IN-SPACe) needs approval for both of these. SpaceX is first going to apply for a license to set up earth stations, following which it is expected to get approval from the Central Department of Telecom and start providing
services after receiving permission to install satellites.
By placing satellites near the earth (LEO satellites) and thereby providing high-speed Internet
service, this satellite broadband
