New Rules for Twitter..! Freedom of Speech Acknowledged..?

The federal government said in a lawsuit that if social media decides to disable a user's account in whole or in part due to a policy violation, it should provide a reasonable opportunity for the user side to respond otherwise it is an IT, law violation. A twitter user has filed a case in the delhi High court alleging that the company deleted his account in violation of the rules. In it, twitter deleted its account on Feb. 24, 2022, claiming that it had launched an account similar to the previously banned account. He had said that he had not been allowed to hear his side.
The affidavit filed by the Federal Ministry of Information technology for the inquiry into Ammanu stated that: When important social media intermediaries like twitter decide to delete a user's account at their own discretion due to a policy violation, they should be given a fair chance to speak up.
Accounts containing details related to rape, pornography, child sexual harassment, malicious software, and terrorism are exceptions. You can disable them immediately.
Failure of a social media interlocutor to comply with the above may result in a breach of IT, Rules 2021. social media sites must respect the fundamental rights of citizens, freedom of expression. The account itself should not be deleted altogether. That should be the last resort. Companies will not be allowed to infringe on the rights of citizens in the name of social media policy.
