SIBY JEYYA
Well, we all would have definitely used Laptops at some point in our lives and we would have wondered why is this cylinder-shaped thing is at the end of the charger and what is the necessity to keep it? Many of us would have definitely asked the question ourselves as we have seen this cylinder-shaped thingy at the end of the charging cable.

But do you know that this small cylinder does a big role in keeping the laptop working properly without any hassles? In technical terms, this cylinder thingy is named as 'Ferrite bead'. As we all know we can easily move and carry a laptop, unlike a PC which is fixed to a place. As we carry it all over this laptop produces certain vibrations and frequencies and that easily obstruct other things and electrical connections.

So during the charging procedure in order to keep these obstruction signals away, we use this ferrite bead and which is made of iron Oxide and it easily kills all those signals and obstructs them from getting inside. To put it in layman terms, this ferrite bead keeps the laptop safer from other electronic products which we use regularly in our home. So, next time if someone asks or questions regarding this, be sure to call that 'Ferrite Bead'.
