Off-spinner sajid khan fulfilled his commitment and celebrated with a thigh-five alongside Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam. After the second day of Pakistan's opening Test against the west indies at the Multan cricket Stadium, Sajid mentioned that he wanted to perform this celebration with Babar and Rizwan after achieving five wickets in the second innings.


“Fans and children celebrate like that everywhere. Kamran Ghulam does it with me on the field. My dream is to do this with Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan after I take a five-wicket haul,” Sajid had stated in the press conference following Day 2.


Following Pakistan's victory in the first Test by 127 runs, Babar and Rizwan joined sajid khan for the celebration. The 31-year-old Sajid concluded with figures of 15-3-50-5 as pakistan dismissed the Caribbean team for 123 while defending a total of 251.


In the second innings, Sajid claimed the wickets of opposition captain Kraigg Brathwaite, Mikyle Louis, Keacy Carty, Kavem Hodge, and Alick Athanaze. He also earned the Player of the Match award for taking nine wickets throughout the match. In the first innings, Sajid recorded figures of 12-0-65-4.

pakistan has already been eliminated from contention for a spot in the World Test championship final. They currently sit in eighth place on the table with 47 points from five victories out of 13 Tests. The second Test is set to commence on Saturday, january 25, in Multan.


In 11 Tests so far, Sajid has taken 53 wickets at an economy rate of 3. 40, achieving three four-wicket hauls, four five-wicket hauls, and two 10-wicket hauls.


In the first Test, aside from Sajid, the other spinners, Abrar ahmed and Noman Ali, also contributed significantly. Noman achieved a five-wicket haul in the first innings, while Abrar supported Sajid by taking four wickets in the second.
