Before the first match of the series, indian captain rohit sharma held a press conference, in which he explained the importance of this series. The indian captain said that every match is important. Apart from this, he said that this series is important in terms of the World Test Championship.

'Every game is important'

rohit sharma said in the press conference, "Every match is important while playing for the country. This is not a dress rehearsal for the australia series. World Test championship points have to be taken. The series needs to start on a high note."

Rotation of bowlers

Regarding the rotation of bowlers, the indian captain said, "We will rotate the bowlers. We will keep this in mind. You want your best player to play every match, but this will not always happen."

It is difficult to return after a long time

Regarding the return after 4 to 6 weeks, rohit sharma said, "When you do not play any format for 6-8 months. This is not the first time that we have not played cricket for 4-6 weeks. This has happened before as well. That is why we had a camp in Chennai. It is difficult, but the boys have managed it well.
