Serbia's Novak Djokovic clashed with some spectators present on the tennis court after the pre-quarterfinal match of the third Grand Slam of the year, Wimbledon. Djokovic alleged that some spectators present in the stands tried to boo (tease) him during the match against Holger Rune. Djokovic has reached the quarterfinals of Wimbledon for the 15th time by defeating Rune.

Seven-time champion Djokovic is in search of a record 25th Grand Slam at Wimbledon. Djokovic lost his temper when some spectators present on the center court were constantly shouting slogans in support of Rune during the match. Djokovic says they were trying to boo him. Djokovic said after the match, to all those fans who gave respect, I thank you from the bottom of my heart and appreciate it. Good night to those who tried to insult a player.

The anchor interviewing Djokovic said that some fans were chanting slogans in support of Rune, not trying to boo you. On this, Djokovic retorted, they were just trying to tease. I cannot accept this. I know they were chanting slogans in support of Rune, but this is an excuse to boo. I have been a part of the tour for 20 years and I know all kinds of tricks. I only focus on those respectable people who buy tickets by paying money and like tennis and respect the players. I have played in a much more hostile environment, trust me, you people cannot touch me.

Djokovic said the audience has the right to support whom they want. I don't know what Wimbledon will do in this case. You can't send the whole stand out if someone misbehaves. I respect true fans but if someone crosses the line I will react.
