Indians give Sari-Blazer shock at Olympics
Rio Olympics started off in a spectacular manner and athletes from all countries marched sporting their traditional attire delighting everyone. But what surprised many is the march past of the Indian contingent.
It is known that India is sending record 118 athletes to the Olympics and are planning to win highest number of medals this time bettering their tally of 6 at London Olympics in 2012.
Indian atheletes especially women surprised all donning saress and blazers. This shocked many as it gives a odd look.Many traditional people are lamenting that sarees shouldn't have been mixed with blazers.
During 2012 London Olympics, Sania Mirza, Rushmi Chakravarthi and others chose not to wear blazers and sported traditional look in yellow sarees. While it was Tennis last time, this time badminton players,three of them who chose to carry their blazers in their arms.
