Virat Kohli drives India into World cup T20 semis

Virat Kohli who is considered as God of Second innings has done it again and India has chased 161 with more tension prevailing till the 19th over. A virtual quarter final between India and Australia happened at Mohali. Steve Smith who won the toss decided to bat first.

Aussies started off like a Thunder by scoring 60 runs in first 6 overs of power play. Later with field spread and the old ball, Australian batsmen succumbed to pressure and by the end they managed to make decent total of 160. Considering the slowness of the pitch, India was also expected to make a brisk start.

But India failed to make an impressive start once again. However Virat Kohli who has been masterful in chasing kept his calm and was rotating strike despite India losing Rohit, Dhawan and Raina. Yuvraj Singh also twisted his ankle and he was unable to continue.

At one stage the required run rate touched 15 and Kohli started to bring the run rate down by aiming James Faulkner. He got 20 runs from his over and 16 from Coulter Nile and that left India to get four runs from six balls. And as a formality, Dhoni finished it off in style. India will meet West Indies on 31st March at Mumbai.
