According to the Panchang, Mahavir Jayanti 2022 is celebrated on the Trayodashi date of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month. Lord Mahavira was the last Tirthankara of jainism i.e. spiritual master. This is the reason why Mahavir Jayanti is very important in the Jain sect. This day is not less than a festival for the people of Jainism.

 

Mahavir Jayanti 2022 shubh Muhurat

Mahavir Jayanti will be celebrated on 14 April. On this day, the beginning of Trayodashi Tithi will start from 4.49 in the morning till 3.55 in the morning of april 15. This is how Mahavir Jayanti is celebrated.

On the day of Mahavir Jayanti, the followers of the Jain sect organize a morning procession. Along with this, keeping the idol of Lord Mahavir in a palanquin, they take out a journey. Apart from this, Lord Mahavir is worshiped with a gold and silver urn on this day and a flag is placed in the temple.


Principles of Lord Mahavira

Lord Mahavir told 5 principles of Jainism. The 5 main principles of jainism are Satya, Ahimsa, Aparigraha, Asteya, and Brahmacharya. Lord Mahavir said that every person should follow these 5 principles.

It is believed that reciting Shri Mahavir Chalisa on this day not only leads to the development of happiness and good fortune but also attains accomplishment-intellect, wealth-power, and knowledge-discretion. The paths of getting wealth are opened by the recitation of Mahavir Chalisa.
