What not to do, and What to do during Solar Eclipse

If you are in bengaluru, Mangaluru, chennai, coimbatore, Dindigul, Thalassery and mumbai you can witness the Solar Eclipse. This is an Annular Solar eclipse and this happens when the new moon is farthest away from the Earth and this appears smaller in the Sky. Solar Eclipse occurs when moon passes between the sun and Earth. The moon fully or partially blocks the Sun. This happens only at New moon when the sun and the moon are in conjunction as seen from Earth in an data-alignment referred to as syzygy. Usually, Solar eclipse happens two to five times a year. Some times this never even happens. So here are some of the Do's and Dont's during Solar Eclipse.

 

1. During the Eclipse period, it is beneficial to do meditation and chant Vedas or mantras. It is also good to offer our prayers

 

2. You should never Idols of god during Solar Eclipse and after the Sutak period, you have to take bath and wear new clothes. In case you don't know, what is Sutak time, it is the inauspicious time and during this period no auspicious works will be done.

 

3. Even Tulsi plants and Shami trees should not be touched during the eclipse

 

4. After Eclipsed, the Idols of god, Tulsi plants should be sprinkled with Holy water and made pure.

 

5. Chanting Guru Mantra, gayatri Mantra should be done after lighting a Deepam.

 

6. The pregnant ladies should not chop vegetables, stitch clothes. Because the child to be born will have physical problems. The pregnant ladies should never go out of the house or should never see the eclipse at any cost.
