Teachers incur huge problems because of Government
For the past three months the school teachers from 630 government aided schools haven’t received their salary. Nearly 1400 teachers have complained that the delay has affected their day to day life matters consecutively. Sources have said that the government has not disclosed around 50 crores for giving as salary to the teachers.
The government has disclosed salaries for every quarter and the teachers have opposed the saying that they haven’t received the salary last quarter too. The teachers have not received a single penny as salary till now. The government is silent with the issue and the teachers are very much worried as they have to work without any salary.
The teachers have submitted many representations to pay the salary on monthly basis as they have housing loans, personal loans and other loans has to be paid. They feel that the payment of salary for quarterly as many teachers are the sole breadwinner of their family.
A teacher has said that the delay causes many problems in their family way. The school management will freeze their accounts if the teachers didn’t pay their income tax. A teacher has said that how the teachers will pay the income tax when the salary is not given at regular basis.
