hyderabad: There was no let-up in Congress infighting with AICC secretary and former MLA SA sampath Kumar on Friday launching a verbal attack on TPCC working president and Malkajgiri MP A revanth Reddy. In a chat with media persons here on Friday, sampath faulted revanth for targeting TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy and his wife Padmavathi Reddy over selecting a candidate for the Huzurnagar assembly by-election.

Referring to revanth having spoken against him, sampath said that he did not know why revanth spoke against him although he regards him as his “loving big brother”. He said senior Congress leader V Hanumantha Rao had claimed no leader from Congress had invited revanth to the all-party meeting organised by pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena Party.

“Everyone knows who is adept at doing selfie politics,” sampath said referring to Revanth’s taunt against him for not getting a selfie with pawan. sampath said credit for taking out agitations against uranium mining goes to Congress, which has done all the hard work but unfortunately Jana Sena seems to have walked away with honours at the all-party meeting.

At another press conference, party MLA T jayaprakash reddy said revanth had denigrated his own position with his diatribe against Uttam and his wife. On his meeting with finance minister harish rao, the MLA said there was no rift with Harish.
