SDPI Appreciates tamil Nadu Government’s Decision

Chennai: The Social Democratic party of india (SDPI) has welcomed the tamil Nadu government’s decision to close 717 TASMAC liquor shops across the state. The party described the move as a positive step toward reducing the social impact of alcohol consumption.

In a statement issued on behalf of the party, SDPI leaders praised chief minister M.K. stalin for taking action in response to public concerns regarding liquor sales and their effects on families and society.

Demand for Gradual Implementation of Total Prohibition

While welcoming the closure of liquor outlets, the SDPI urged the tamil Nadu government to take further steps toward implementing complete prohibition in a phased manner across the state.

The party stated that alcoholism continues to affect the economic condition, health, and social well-being of many families, particularly among economically weaker sections. According to SDPI leaders, reducing liquor availability would help improve public welfare and social stability.

Concern Over Social Impact of Alcohol Consumption
