The Lakhpati Bitiya Yojana is a new initiative announced by the delhi Government to support the education and financial security of girls from economically weaker families. It replaces the older Ladli Scheme from 1April2026, providing larger financial assistance linked to education milestones from birth through graduation.

Under this revamped scheme, families receive money in phases that accumulates to over 1lakh by the time the girl completes her higher education.

💸 What Financial Support Will Be Provided?

Under the Lakhpati Bitiya Yojana, the government will deposit up to 56,000 in the girl’s Aadhaar‑linked bank account in stages tied to educational progress. With interest, this will grow to over 1lakh by maturity.

Typical instalments include amounts paid:

The total amount becomes payable when the girl either:

  • Completes Class12 and is 18+ years old, or

If key education benchmarks are not met (e.g., not finishing Class 12 by age 21), the funds may revert to the government.
