Congress Leaders Demeaning india In Front Of Pakistan’: BJP Questions rahul gandhi, Kharge Over pahalgam Remarks
BJP criticizes rahul gandhi and mallikarjun Kharge for not controlling Congress leaders' statements on the pahalgam terror attack. BJP alleges that Congress leaders' remarks are being misused by Pakistan.BJP mp and former Union minister Ravi shankar Prasad addressed a press conference, saying, “Are rahul gandhi and mallikarjun Kharge not able to control their party?… Everyone is given the freedom to speak whatever they want to. All their statements are being misused in Pakistan. There is a media campaign running… When the nation should speak in a common tone, congress leaders are demeaning the country in front of Pakistan. What are you (Rahul gandhi and mallikarjun Kharge) doing?… Were any questions asked to Siddaramaiah? Has anyone been told to issue a public apology?… We condemn this attitude.”
Prasad named congress leaders including Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah, senior maharashtra leader Vijay Wadettiwar, karnataka minister R B Timmapur, and Rahul Gandhi’s brother-in-law Robert Vadra, accusing them of making controversial statements that undermined national unity. He alleged that while Kharge and gandhi expressed support for government countermeasures following the attack during an all-party meeting, many congress leaders have made “shameless and irresponsible” comments questioning the accounts of victims who said terrorists singled out non-Muslims.
He further alleged that there seems to be an agenda behind the statements by some congress leaders.“I am quite sad, and grieving, but looking at the pattern which has come out then I figured I should address it from the party’s platform,” Prasad said.
The attack in pahalgam, which is among the deadliest in the Valley since the 2019 Pulwama attack that killed 40 CRPF personnel, has prompted strong responses from the indian government against pakistan for its alleged support of cross-data-border terrorism.
