Ruckus over Bhimrao Ambedkar's statue in Lucknow?

The matter of removal of the statue of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the maker of the Constitution in Uttar Pradesh, before his birth anniversary has stirred up the political circles of the state. Samajwadi party chief and former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh akhilesh yadav has given a sharp reaction to the removal of the statue of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the maker of the Constitution in Khantri village of Mahingwa police station area of Lucknow. The SP chief has launched a major attack on the government and administration in protest against the removal of Ambedkar's statue.

akhilesh yadav wrote on Twitter, "The PDA society is well aware of the government's pressure behind the audacity of the administration to remove baba Saheb's statue in Lucknow. The arrogance of someone's caste dominance sometimes gets the statue-platform removed in Gorakhpur, and sometimes in Lucknow, to prove the arrogance of their political dominance, they get the statues of great men removed. Disregarding public wishes gives rise to public anger. PDA says today, we don't want BJP!"

This is the reason behind the statue controversy

Actually, the administration started the process of removing the statue of Constitution maker Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar in Khantri village of Mahingwa police station area of the capital Lucknow, considering it illegal. The villagers opposed it, the situation went out of control and the crowd of villagers pelted stones on the police team. Many policemen have been injured in this protest. Seeing the situation deteriorating, the police also used lathi, due to which some people have been injured.

The administration says that putting a statue on public land without permission is a violation of law and it cannot be allowed to remain there. The villagers allege that the administration is suppressing their sentiments. The villagers said, "This statue is related to our faith, the police is forcibly removing it." Many people including several policemen have been injured in this incident.
