A police officer told the media, "There were 4,836 incidents of communal crime related to Hindu-Muslim in maharashtra in the year 2024, out of which 170 incidents were cognizable and 3,106 were non-cognizable cases. The officer said that out of these cases, 371 such incidents were related to religious insult.
