Mahima Chaudhry, a renowned bollywood actress of the 90s and 2000s, is making a comeback with the film Durlabh prasad Ki Doosri Shaadi.
While promoting the film, she opened up about the challenges she data-faced in her career after debuting with Shah Rukh Khan.
Contract Confusions Led to Career Setbacks
During an interview with siddharth Kannan, mahima revealed that she lost several film opportunities due to contract-related misunderstandings.
She was dragged to court and removed from films because it was mistakenly claimed she had a contract with “Mukta,” which she denied.
These issues, combined with a personal accident, forced her to take a year-long break from acting.
Struggle with Minor Roles
Upon returning, mahima was often offered small or supporting roles instead of lead roles.
She accepted minor parts, including performing in single-song appearances, many of which turned out to be hits.
Despite being labeled a “lucky mascot,” she refused roles limited to songs, seeking more substantial acting opportunities.
Accident During ‘Dil Kya Kare’
Mahima suffered a severe car accident while shooting dil Kya Kare.
67 small pieces of glass were embedded in her data-face, which had to be removed under a microscope.
The next day, her data-face was swollen and disfigured, and friends initially doubted the severity of her injuries.
She described this period as extremely difficult, as she had to stay indoors, avoid sunlight, and carefully care for her stitched data-face.
