7 thousand potholes will be filled in the capital by april 30!

PWD has set a deadline to make Delhi's roads pothole-free. According to this deadline, 7 thousand potholes on Delhi's roads will be filled by april 30. A presentation was presented in the cabinet meeting led by cm Rekha Gupta, according to which instructions have been issued to PWD officials.

In this presentation, commitment was expressed to call for tenders and complete the work. It has been said that all officers should follow this instruction. Potholes are currently being filled using the department's maintenance vans. PWD has also found that there is an area of 20 lakh square meters in delhi which needs to be repaired. The tender process for this work is likely to be completed on march 15.

Pravesh Verma took charge

The poor condition of the capital's roads had become a big issue during the delhi assembly elections. bjp had raised this issue loudly, even AAP rebel swati Maliwal had visited various assembly constituencies of delhi and shown the situation there. bjp has made Pravesh Verma the PWD minister who is monitoring the road repair work. He has also visited such places with the officials where there is a problem of road.

What was the promise made in the AAP government?

Let us tell you that the previous aam aadmi party government had promised that the roads of delhi will be pothole-free by diwali 2024. A deadline was also set for this. The then cm Atishi had also visited Okhla Industrial area and took information about the roads. While other ministers also reached other places. It was promised that things would be fixed on a war footing.
