Established on 7 january 1915 during british rule, this police station is not only playing an important role in maintaining law and order, but is also known as a strong witness of India's freedom struggle. First FIR of Shahdara police Station

The first case in Shahdara police station was registered on 7 january 1915. This case was registered under Section 457 (attempt to burglary in house at night) of the indian Penal Code. Complainant Khajan Singh, son of Rampal, complained that Sukhdev mali and his companions tried to enter inside by making a hole in the back wall of his house at night. They saw the light of the match and woke up, the thieves ran away. There was no loss in this incident. This first case is still recorded in the records of the police station and is a reminder of how Shahdara police station started its journey 110 years ago.
