Uttar Pradesh chief minister yogi adityanath said on friday that the state government is going to build an international cricket stadium in Gorakhpur. cm yogi said this while addressing a function after the inauguration of Gorakhpur's first 'Mini sports Complex' built in Bhati vihar Colony of the metropolis here. He had announced the construction of an international level cricket stadium in Gorakhpur last year.
The chief minister said at the function on friday that the state government is going to build an international cricket stadium in Gorakhpur. Apart from this, a big 'sports center' will also start being built in 33 acres in Rapti nagar area in a few months. cm yogi said, "Under the leadership of prime minister Narendra Modi, a new sports culture has been created in the country in the last ten years."
He said that prime minister Modi has taken forward the new culture of sports through Khelo india, Fit india Movement, mp sports Competition, while the state government is also constantly encouraging players and sports activities in the state. The chief minister said that in order to encourage sports and players, the state government has started the Rural sports League.
Playground in every village - CM
cm yogi said, "Playgrounds are being built in every village. Land and funds are being provided to build mini stadiums at the block level and stadiums at the district level." He informed that a mini stadium is under construction in Sahajanwa. The chief minister said that the mini sports Complex of Bhati vihar will be operated on 'PPP mode' and players will get excellent training and other facilities here. According to an official statement, yogi adityanath said that sports is also a great medium to make a career and the state government gives direct government jobs to medal winners of Olympics, Asiad, Commonwealth Games, World Championship. The chief minister also inspected the 'Mini sports Complex' built in the name of baba Raghav Das.
