Modi cabinet has taken two important decisions regarding farmers on the very first day of the year. One decision is related to the price of di-ammonium phosphate (DAP) and the other is related to PM Crop Insurance Scheme. cm yogi Adityanath has now praised this decision of Modi cabinet. On the Union cabinet meeting, Union minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that the prime minister dedicated the first cabinet meeting of 2025 to the farmers. There was a lot of discussion related to farmers in this meeting. Today decisions related to the welfare of farmers were taken. Today the biggest decision is that Rs 69,515 crore has been allocated in the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana. Along with this, a fund of 800 crores has been created for innovation and technology.

Appreciating this decision, cm yogi wrote on social media, 'The approval of the Union cabinet today under the leadership of respected prime minister Shri narendra modi to extend the one-time special package subsidy of ₹ 3,500 per metric ton on Di-Ammonium Phosphate (DAP) beyond 01/01/2025 is commendable. With this decision, DAP will be available to the farmer brothers at a cheap and reasonable price.'
He further wrote, 'Heartfelt gratitude to the prime minister for this gift benefiting millions of Annadaata farmers!' In another post, the chief minister wrote, 'Under the successful leadership of respected prime minister narendra modi, the decision of the Union cabinet today to continue the 'Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana' and 'Restructured Weather Based Crop Insurance Scheme' till the year 2025-26 and the formation of 'Fund for Innovation and Technology' (FIAT) is commendable.'
cm yogi further wrote, 'These decisions will not only provide financial security to the farmers in case of crop loss due to natural disasters, but will also encourage innovations in the agricultural sector.
