With just a few hours left for the arrival of the new year, a huge crowd of devotees is gathering at the iconic religious places of Uttar Pradesh - ayodhya, varanasi and mathura to celebrate it. With security measures and detailed crowd management plans, the holy city of ayodhya, associated with the birthplace of Lord Rama, is ready to accommodate a huge crowd of pilgrims visiting temples and holy sites for the spiritual start of 2025.
How is the situation in Ayodhya?
Ahead of the new year, ayodhya is witnessing a huge crowd of devotees, especially thousands of people are coming to seek blessings of Lord ram in the newly built ram temple. Hotels in ayodhya and nearby faizabad are fully booked and the temple trust has extended the darshan time to manage the expected crowd.
Ankit Mishra, a hotel owner, said, 'We are ready to welcome the devotees and all our rooms are reserved till january 15.' The Hindu New Year is celebrated around March-April, but many devotees visit Ramlala on the first day of the english calendar year. Many people want to start the year with the blessings of Lord ram, local priest Ramakant Tiwari said. Keeping this in mind, kashi vishwanath temple has banned 'sparsh darshan' from december 31 to january 1. Visitors will be allowed to see the Lord from a distance. The city police have implemented extensive security measures, with 45 duty points set up at major places including Assi Ghat and Sankat Mochan Temple. Kashi Zone Deputy Commissioner of police (DCP) Gaurav Bansal confirmed that teams of the NDRF, water police and PAC have been deployed at key locations. With an estimated five to seven lakh visitors, the temple area has been divided into five sectors, and 12 quick response teams are ready to deal with any emergency.
