Winter holidays announced, when will schools remain closed?

Amidst the severe cold in haryana, the Naib Singh saini government has announced school holidays. According to the government, there will be winter holidays in all private and government schools in haryana from january 1 to january 15, 2025.

According to the order of the haryana government, during this winter vacation, students can be called to school for practicals as per the schedule set for the 10th and 12th boards as per the rules of CBSE Board, ICSE Board.

Schools will reopen from january 16. However, it has not been informed in this order yet whether the time will remain the same when the schools open or the timing will be changed.

Severe cold in Haryana

Let us tell you that the period of severe cold continues in Haryana. The minimum temperature in Narnaul, haryana was recorded at 4.5 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature in Sirsa was five degrees Celsius. In Karnal too, the minimum temperature was recorded at 5.5 degrees Celsius amid the severe cold. The minimum temperature in Ambala was recorded at 7.6 degrees Celsius, hisar at 6.9 degrees Celsius and Gurugram at 8.8 degrees Celsius.

Earlier, the rajasthan government had already announced school holidays in view of the severe cold. The Bhajanlal government of the state had announced winter vacations for schools from 25 december to 5 january 2025. According to the order of rajasthan Education minister Madan Dilawar, all private and government schools will remain closed till january 5. Action will be taken against schools for not following the government's order. At the same time, winter holidays have been announced in the schools of Haryana. Now schools will open on january 16 after december 31.
