Heavy rain warning in Delhi, thunderstorm in these cities!

Cold continues to wreak havoc in North India. Winter has gained momentum amid rain in many states including delhi, Rajasthan. According to the Meteorological Department, light drizzle will be seen in these states for the next one or two days.

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain is expected in Uttarakhand, himachal pradesh, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, Western Uttar Pradesh, Eastern rajasthan and Western madhya pradesh on friday (December 27). According to the department, hailstorm with thunderstorm is likely in south-eastern himachal pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Eastern rajasthan, Vidarbha, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and gujarat region on friday (December 27) and in madhya pradesh on 27 and 28 December. Cold to very cold day conditions are likely in some parts of himachal pradesh on 27 and 28 December. On the other hand, there is a possibility of dense to very dense fog in different areas of rajasthan during late night and morning hours from 27 to 29 December.

On the other hand, due to rain in delhi, traffic was affected in many areas of South, Central and North Delhi. The Meteorological Department said that rain started in Delhi-NCR (National capital Region) at around 2.30 am. According to the data released by IMD till 11.30 am, 9.1 millimetres (mm) of rain was recorded at the observatory located at Safdarjung, the primary meteorological center of the national capital. Palam Observatory recorded 8.4 mm, Lodhi Road recorded 10.8 mm, Ridge recorded 9 mm, delhi University recorded 11 mm and Pusa recorded 9.5 mm of rain.

Rain in these cities of Rajasthan

According to the Meteorological Department, in the last 24 hours, light to moderate rain with thunder occurred at many places in Rajasthan. During this period, it rained at many places in Sikar, Ajmer, Jhunjhunu, Nagaur, Churu and Hanumangarh districts. Dense to very dense fog prevailed in many areas of the state on friday as well. Many areas have been in the grip of severe cold for many days. The lowest minimum temperature in the last 24 hours was recorded at 5.4 degrees Celsius in Churu. According to the Meteorological Center Jaipur, due to the effect of a new western disturbance, light to moderate rain with thundershowers and hailstorm at some places is likely in Kota, Jaipur, Ajmer, Bharatpur, udaipur division and some parts of Shekhawati division.
