2000 crore fund is the budget for Mahila Samman Nidhi
According to sources a cabinet meeting was held on (12 December) in delhi regarding Mahila Samman Nidhi. Through this, there is a plan to give 1000 rupees to women of 18 years and above. After the proposal is passed in the cabinet, the party can make a big announcement. After the delhi government's cabinet meeting on Mahila Samman nidhi is over, Aam Aadmi Party's national convenor arvind kejriwal can make a big announcement about this scheme at the party headquarters. Full preparations are in place for the program at the party headquarters. Meanwhile, according to sources, before that, the delhi Finance Department has raised questions on the Mahila Samman nidhi scheme and said that this will put an additional burden on the Finance Department.
Meanwhile the Finance Department has said that there are about 67 lakh women in delhi, out of which about 38 lakh women will be eligible for this scheme. If all these women are given Mahila Samman Nidhi, then an additional burden of more than 4000 crores will fall on the finance department. At present, the government has kept a fund of 2000 crores in its budget for Mahila Samman Nidhi. The women eligible for this scheme from the government should not be in any government job, also they should not pay income tax and they should not have any other source of income. The age of those women should be 18 or above 18 years.
Earlier on many occasions, chief minister Atishi and arvind kejriwal have said that soon one thousand rupees will be given to the women of delhi by their government, in which a hitch seems to be stuck. Atishi and arvind kejriwal seem to be adamant on their words regarding Mahila Samman Nidhi.
