Naxalites were preparing for a major attack amid the assembly elections but the security forces have destroyed this planning. Naxalites had planted some IEDs on the bridge built on the Paralakota river connecting Bhamragad and Tadgaon in Gadchiroli. After getting the information, a team of BDDS was sent by helicopter from Gadchiroli. After this, a joint team of Gadchiroli police, CRPF and BSF searched the area. The teams found two IEDs.

When the teams were preparing to defuse it, an IED exploded. The BDDS team present on the spot destroyed one IED. No security personnel was injured in the explosion. Due to the vigilance of Gadchiroli police, the attempt by the Maoists to disrupt the assembly elections has been foiled.
