The US State Department had declared Hashem Safieddin a terrorist in 2017.

He was the cousin of former Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. He used to take many big decisions in Hezbollah. He further said in his statement, "Along with Hashem, Hezbollah Intelligence Headquarters commander and terrorist ali Hussein Hajima has also been killed. He has also planned many attacks against IDF soldiers.
