'Politics over death is a habit of the opposition': Manish Verma
Recently there have been deaths due to poisonous liquor in Chhapra, Siwan and Gopalganj in Bihar. The opposition is constantly attacking the government over this. It is calling the liquor ban a failure. On this, now a ridiculous statement has come from the leader of cm Nitish Kumar's party. Talking to journalists on thursday (October 17), JDU National General Secretary manish Verma said that such incidents happen even where liquor ban is not implemented. Be it tamil Nadu or Odisha, such incidents keep happening there too. However, manish Verma said that this incident is extremely sad, but despite the liquor ban, people are doing such reprehensible work out of greed and are making and selling poisonous liquor. The government will take action against all the culprits doing such work and ensure the strictest punishment.
Meanwhile on the question of Tejashwi Yadav blaming the liquor ban for this incident, manish Verma said, "Even when Tejashwi Yadav was in the government, there was liquor ban, why was he silent then? Why did he not raise questions on liquor ban when he was in power with us? Such things do not suit him." Furthermore manish Verma said that politics over death is an old habit of opposition leaders. They have been protesting against liquor ban earlier also while such incidents have nothing to do with liquor ban. The government and administration are working to curb such incidents. The government is also conducting an investigation on this matter.
Moreover whoever is guilty in this, strict action will be taken against them. Let us tell you that after the case of poisonous liquor scandal came to light, according to administrative data till thursday (17 October), Siwan has had the highest number of deaths at 20. After this, five people have died in Chapra and two in Gopalganj. The number of deaths is higher but only this much has been confirmed so far.
