Pakistan's Planning minister Ahsan Iqbal has accused india without naming it regarding the shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit. He said that the neighbouring country is responsible for the protests of PTI within Pakistan. Iqbal's statement came on october 15 while criticizing the appeal of Imran Khan's party pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to protest near the parliament of Pakistan.

He appealed to PTI supporters to recognize how the party's protests are harming the country's development and economic reform efforts. He accused the party of obstructing the country's progress.
