What is 'Mutiny Memorial'?
'100 heritage Walk Festival' was started by Tourism minister Saurabh Bhardwaj from the historic 'Mutiny Memorial' of Kamala Nehru Ridge Civil Lines, Delhi. This memorial was built by the british in 1857 during the freedom struggle. It was built in memory of the british officer and his colleagues who died in the battle.
The Tourism minister of delhi Government while starting this campaign said, 'This memorial is not only a symbol of the death of the british officer and his colleagues, but is also a symbol of the victory cry of India's freedom struggle. He said that during this 80-day program, information about 100 different heritages will be spread among the people. Such programs have been organized by the delhi Tourism Department. Such programs will be organized in the future as well.
