Ratan Tata admitted in Hospital undergoing medical check-ups due to his age

Reportedly Ratan Naval Tata, renowned industrialist, philanthropist, and former chairman of Tata Sons was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in mumbai in the wee hours of monday following a significant drop in blood pressure. The 86 year old industrialist was admitted at around 12:30 am, said the hospital sources, adding that he was immediately moved to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for close monitoring of his health condition.

Meanwhile he refuted the reports claiming that his health condition was critical and said he was undergoing routine check-ups due to age and related medical conditions. He assured his followers that there was no need for concern. “I am aware of recent rumours circulating regarding my health and want to assure everyone that these claims are unfounded. I am currently undergoing medical check-ups due to my age and related medical conditions,” said ratan tata in a social media post.

Moreover he added “There is no cause for concern. I remain in good spirits and request that the public and media respect and refrain from spreading misinformation”. He was honoured with Padma Vibhushan, the second-highest civilian honour in india, in 2008 and Padma Bhushan, the third-highest civilian honour, in 2000. He is also well-known for his investments to boost the india startup ecosystem. He has invested in over 30 start-ups to date, most in a personal capacity and some via his investment company.
