Controversial remarks on Prophet Mohammad increased?

The National Conference (NC) on saturday condemned Yeti Narsinghanand Saraswati's remarks about Prophet Mohammad and demanded his immediate arrest, saying that the controversial priest has deeply hurt the sentiments of Muslims. A case has once again been registered against Mahant Narsinghanand of a temple in Dasna in ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh for giving inflammatory speeches. Protests have been held in ghaziabad and other states against his remarks.

'Deeply hurt the sentiments of Muslims'

Muttahida Majlis Ulema (MMU), an organization of various religious institutions in Kashmir, also condemned Mahant Narsinghanand's remarks and demanded his immediate arrest. National Conference spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar said, 'He has deeply hurt the sentiments of Muslims in india and around the world. He said that such remarks not only tarnish India's reputation for religious harmony and tolerance, but also become the cause of communal tension. He demanded immediate arrest of Narasimhanand.

'Strict punishment should be given'

Apart from this, his party president Altaf Bukhari posted on twitter that merely arresting Yeti Narasimhanand is not enough. The government should ensure that he is given strict punishment for his hate speech and derogatory remarks against the Prophet of Islam. Anyone who hurts religious sentiments and endangers the secular fabric of our nation should be held accountable. Yati Narasimhanand's remarks are highly condemnable and objectionable. This poses a serious threat to communal harmony. Therefore, he should be given strict punishment. Let us tell you that Yeti Narasimhanand is accused of making inflammatory remarks. Due to which there have been protests in ghaziabad and other areas of UP.
