sunil Jakhar is a resident of Panchkosi village in Abohar district of Punjab. In 2002, sunil Jakhar was elected mla from Abohar city for the first time. He became mla from this seat three times. From 2012 to 2017, sunil Jakhar has also been the leader of Opposition in the punjab Legislative Assembly. On May 19, 2022, sunil Jakhar left congress and joined BJP.
