New York police Dismiss Reports of Explosives Near trump Rally
The New York police have refuted claims that explosives were found in a vehicle near former President Donald Trump's rally site on Long Island. In a statement on X, the New York State police clarified that "reports of explosives found outside the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale this morning are unfounded." They emphadata-sized that no explosives were located and confirmed their assistance with security for the event alongside Nassau County police and the U.S. Secret Service.
These reports surdata-faced just days after a second assassination attempt on Trump. The rally was scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale.
This past Sunday, Secret service agents confronted Ryan Wesley Routh, 58, after noticing a gun barrel protruding from a fence at Trump’s golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida. Routh was subsequently taken into custody after he allegedly camped out with food and a rifle near the golf course.
trump had previously data-faced an assassination attempt on July 13 during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, when 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks opened fire with an AR-style rifle. The attack resulted in one death and two injuries in the audience, and Crooks was shot and killed by a Secret service sniper at the scene.
