Delhi has finally got its new Chief Minister—Aatishi. aam aadmi party (AAP) convenor arvind kejriwal announced his resignation from the post of chief minister of delhi on Monday, september 16, 2024. This is not the first time in delhi that a chief minister has had to leave the cm post after allegations of corruption. In the year 1996, the then Chief minister madan Lal Khurana also had to leave his post first. At that time, madan Lal Khurana and lal krishna advani were surrounded in the Jain Hawala case. After madan Lal, Sahib Singh Verma got the chair, but after holding the post for two years, Verma had to resign from the post of chief minister due to the rising prices of onion and public displeasure.

Sushma Swaraj, cm for 52 days

Sushma Swaraj became the cm of delhi in 1998 after Sahib Singh Verma. She was the first woman chief minister of delhi but sushma could hold this post for only 52 days. Now Atishi is also being compared to Sushma's tenure. Actually,BJP had lost badly in the elections held soon after sushma swaraj became the CM. At that time, the people of delhi were angry with the bjp government on the issue of inflation and its effect was clearly visible in the assembly elections.
