Junior doctors' response to the meeting with Mamata?
The political temperature is very high on the incident of brutality with a female doctor in Kolkata's RG Kar Medical college and Hospital. Along with this, new questions are also being raised with each passing day. On monday (September 16), West bengal Junior Doctors Front and All National RDAs held a joint press conference at the press Club of Kolkata.
During the press conference, Dr. Aarisha of RG Kar Medical college and Hospital raised many questions. She asked, 'Why was the entire CCTV footage not handed over to the CBI, where did the challan go and why was the victim's funeral done early? Dr. Aarisha said, 'The alleged offer of money to the victim's family by DC North shows an attempt to hide the crime.'
Questions raised on kolkata police Commissioner
Dr. Aarisha said, 'On august 15, a violent mob attacked us. The Commissioner of kolkata police did not even take responsibility for the attack.' Along with this, they demanded that the culprits of raping the victim should be punished, and also demanded the removal of the health department officials.
Doctors made this demand
They said, 'Incompetent and careless police officials should be removed from their posts. Action should also be taken against kolkata police Commissioner, DC North and DC Central. The safety of health workers should be ensured in all hospitals and health centers. Panic buttons should be installed in every on-call room. Student union elections should be held in every medical college by eliminating the threat culture in government health.' Dr Bipresh of West bengal Junior doctor Front said, 'We still do not feel safe at our workplace, so we have not returned to work yet.'
