India's first "Vande Metro" started by Modi..!!
Prime minister Narendra Modi on monday inaugurated India's first "Vande Metro" service between Bhuj and Ahmedabad. The train has been officially renamed "Namo Bharat Rapid Rail". He also inaugurated several Vande Bharat trains during his visit to gujarat on Monday. Vande Metro will travel to connect urban areas with suburban cities. "Whereas other metros cover short distances, Vande Metro trains will run from the heart of the city to the suburbs," the railway minister said.
The train has 12 air-conditioned coaches, automatic doors, LED lighting, toilets with vacuum discharge, route map indicators, panoramic windows, CCTV, phone charging facilities, and automatic smoke or fire detection with an alarm. The train service will officially start from september 17, the birthday of prime minister Modi. The first journey will start from Ahmedabad. It is also said that the fee for this is 455 rupees. The Namo Bharat Rapid rail will have aerosol-based safety systems to detect fires and avoid collisions with emergency lights, the Ministry of Railways said.
The train is designed to connect cities within a radius of 150 km, providing a comfortable journey of around 3 to 4 hours. Meanwhile, PM Modi will also inaugurate Vande Bharat trains on routes including Kolhapur-Pune, Pune-Hupally, Nagpur-Secunderabad, agra Cantt to Banaras, and Durg to Visakhapatnam. The first 20-coach Vande Bharat train will run between varanasi and Delhi, according to a statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office.
